Decisions of the December 3, 2009 Public Hearing

At a public hearing held by the East Hartford Zoning Board of Appeals, in
the Town Council Chambers, 740 Main Street, East Hartford, Connecticut, on
Thursday, December 3, 2009 at 7:30 p.m., the following applications were
heard and acted upon:

Jose and Victoria Vidal, 119 Goodwin Street, Requests a variance from
Sections 502.1 Permitted Uses and 502.4(b) Yards, to permit the
refurbishing of a barn into a 3 family residential building in an
Industrial Zone, 2 ft. from the easterly property line. (Zone
I-2)[Withdrawn by the applicant]
BKM Total Office, 800 Connecticut Boulevard, Requests a variance from
Section 404.4(c) Yards, to permit a generator 17 ft. from the rear
property line, requiring a variance of 8 ft. (Zone B-3)[Approved by a vote
of 4-0]
Luciano Velazquez, 55 Daniel Street, Requests a variance from Sections
214.2(c) & (e) Accessory Structures to permit a detached garage within 3.6
ft. of the side and rear property lines and 570 sq. ft. in size, 524 sq.
ft. over what’s permitted. (Zone R-4)[Denied by a vote of 4-0]
Jasson Lariviere, 100 Main Street, Requests a variance from Section
2093(aa) Parking, to eliminate 2 parking spaces that would be required by
the addition of a storage shed. (Zone B-1)[Approved by a vote of 4-0]
